Retrograde intrarenal surgery

RIRS- Retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) is a minimally invasive procedure employed to remove kidney stones. This procedure is conducted by inserting a slim renoscope into the urethra and up to the specific region in the kidney. The renoscope is designed with a camera which allows the surgeon to see the stone and the adjacent tissue. After that, a laser is employed to break the stone into smaller parts that can be extracted through the renoscope.
